Responsibilities
Lead and enforce welding quality standards, ensuring all welded components meet or exceed engineering specifications and industry codes
Direct inspection, testing, and verification activities to maintain the highest levels of product integrity
Document, track, and communicate quality and safety issues, supporting vendor audits and supplier performance evaluations
Investigate welding‑related quality concerns, implementing corrective actions and conducting thorough root‑cause analyses
Enhance and maintain quality systems, including procedures, audits, documentation, and complaint‑handling processes
Champion continuous improvement and 6S initiatives, driving operational excellence across welding and fabrication areas
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent hands‑on technical experience
Extensive welding background is essential, including experience in welding operations, fabrication, or environments where welding is a core manufacturing process
Strong, practical manufacturing experience, with emphasis on day‑to‑day production and real‑world welding challenges
Experience working with government contracts and understanding compliance, documentation, and regulatory requirements
Foundational knowledge of lean manufacturing and the role of quality assurance within lean systems
Strong analytical and QA skills, including experience with testing methods, version control, and defect‑management best practices
