Responsibilities
Managing Complex Legal Matters: Oversee and manage complex legal projects, including litigation, regulatory compliance, contract negotiation, and dispute resolution
Providing Strategic Legal Counsel: Offer expert legal advice and guidance to senior leadership and company managers on a wide range of legal issues
Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards, and implement risk management strategies
Contract Review and Negotiation: Review, draft, and negotiate significant corporate legal documents, contracts, and agreements to protect the organization’s interests
Team Leadership and Internal Operations: Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of experienced attorneys, and manage part of the internal operations of the Law Department
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 6 years of experience
Excellent academic credentials
Requires a law degree
Active license in good standing to practice law in assigned state
Experience managing a fast-paced, diverse, and complex national commercial litigation docket
Experience working closely with in-house colleagues, outside counsel, and business clients
Preferred
Trial experience at federal government agencies (e.g., DOJ, SEC, or US Attorney) or large law firms
Supervisory experience in large corporate litigation departments
Class-action, mass tort, or MDL experience
