Responsibilities

Assisting with the preparation, validation, and organization of manufacturing and enterprise data for analysis, reporting, and AI use cases
Helping build and maintain data assets, documentation, and process artifacts that support analytics, machine learning, and AI driven solutions

Required

Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program majoring in Data Science, Data Engineering, Computer Science, Analytics or a related field
Minimum 3.0 GPA
Willing and able to work on-site at our Reading, PA location
Applicants MUST be US Citizens or Green Card Holders due to Carpenter's government contracts
The ideal candidate will bring foundational technical skills and a strong interest in modern data, analytics, and AI technologies

Preferred

SQL for querying and preparing data from relational data sources
Python or similar programming languages for data analysis, scripting, or AI experimentation
Fundamental understanding of data modeling concepts and relational database structures
Introductory knowledge of analytics, statistics, machine learning, or artificial intelligence concepts
Familiarity with AI assisted analytics, generative AI, or agent based AI workflows (academic, project, or personal experience)
Experience with data visualization or reporting tools such as Power BI or similar platforms
Exposure to Microsoft Fabric, including concepts such as Lakehouse architectures, data pipelines, warehouses, OneLake, semantic models, or AI enabled capabilities within the Microsoft ecosystem
