Dean of Student Services/ Testing Coordinator
NAFSA: Association of International Educators is seeking a Dean of Student Services/ Testing Coordinator to be a key member of the leadership team at Avant Garde Academy. The Dean will oversee student behavior policies, manage testing administration, and ensure effective communication with students, staff, and families.

Responsibilities
Supervise all discipline policies and procedures. Enforce all such policies
Investigate student disciplinary issues and determine next steps needed
Adjudicate consequences following the district’s Discipline Matrix
Keep accurate records of incidents and outcomes
Provide monthly reports of students with habitual infractions
Confer with parents and teachers concerning disciplinary issues and maintain appropriate documentation of all communication
Implement, support and monitor the schoolwide PBIS program
Collaborate with teachers and RTI Coordinator regarding behavior interventions
Lead and support preventive initiatives to reduce behavior issues before they occur
Provide for professional development for teachers with respect to disciplinary best practices
Serve as a member of the Attendance Committee
Hall Monitoring
Assist with daily school operations
Supervise students during non-class times
Support emergency drills and safety procedures
Be a visible presence around the school
Schedules and administers all progress monitoring tools as well as district proficiency and standardized assessments
Develop and manage the testing schedule in coordination with the Instructional Coaches for various assessments (standardized tests, state/district assessments), to include but not limited to: FAST PM 1-3 and STAR
Arrange for test materials, testing locations, testing plan
Attend district and state mandated trainings
Provide training regarding test administration requirements and protocols to staff
Serve as a point of contact for testing questions or issues
Maintain accurate federal, state and district required records
Ensure testing materials and results remain confidential and secure
Address and report testing irregularities or violations immediately
Ensure students with IEPs, 504 plans, or ELL needs receive appropriate accommodations
Collaborate with Special Education and ELL staff to implement accommodations accurately
All other duties as assigned by the Principal
Qualification
Required
Valid teaching certification
Minimum of 3 years of teaching or school-based leadership experience
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and families
Preferred
Master's Degree preferred
