Quality Assurance Technician
Amrize is a company focused on cement production, and they are seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to ensure the consistent quality of their products. The role involves maintaining testing equipment, certifying product compliance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities
Demonstrate commitment to health, safety, and environmental policies; promote a culture of safety
Collaborate with team members in a supportive role, taking direction as needed
Perform all responsibilities of a Quality Assurance Technician, including:
Daily sample collection and testing of raw mix, kiln feed, clinker, and cement
Weekly raw material and barge analysis; preparation of cement composites for physical testing
Completing cement blends for customer samples as directed
Understand the chemistry of raw materials and products and how chemical changes affect production
Apply ASTM, AASHTO, and API testing and calibration procedures accurately
Operate, maintain, and calibrate testing equipment; document calibration records and ensure compliance with intervals
Maintain and repair laboratory testing equipment; demonstrate mechanical aptitude and some electrical troubleshooting skills
Support continuous improvement and quality problem-solving initiatives
Qualification
Required
Education: Associate's degree or minimum 3 years' experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or cement manufacturing
Work Experience: Minimum 3 years in quality control, quality assurance, or manufacturing
Ability to work in industrial environments (dust, heat, noise); experience in cement, mining, or steel industries preferred
Excellent mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills; high attention to detail
Capable of lifting/moving up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 90 lbs occasionally
Adherence to all Amrize-approved PPE protocols, including respirators (must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face)
Preferred
Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree
Field of Study Preferred: Science or related industry experience
