The role combines technical execution with strategic facilitation, focusing on aligning stakeholders and executing metadata management.

Responsibilities

Facilitate governance working groups and align business + technical stakeholders
Execute metadata management: cataloging, lineage, stewardship workflows
Coach client staff on stewardship practices and sustainable governance
Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and business owners to embed governance into platforms and pipelines
Contribute to privacy and compliance efforts (GDPR, CCPA)

Required

5+ years in data governance, metadata, or related roles
Hands-on experience with catalog/metadata tools: Atlan (Must Have)
Strong communication skills — able to lead workshops and write clear documentation
Experience with governance operating models and stewardship practices
Expert level knowledge of privacy regulations and how governance supports compliance
Experience building training guides, playbooks, or adoption materials
Must have professional services experience
Must have large enterprise experience

Preferred

Hands-on experience with catalog/metadata tools: Alation (Nice to have)
