Student Assistant - Grizzly Career Ambassador - General Office

Georgia Gwinnett College (GGC) is dedicated to providing an exceptional educational experience to its students. They are seeking a Student Assistant - Grizzly Career Ambassador to support the effective operation of Career Services and assist students with career-related tasks such as resume reviews and mock interviews.

Responsibilities

Provide resume and cover letter review, mock interviews, general career advice as a peer
Greet and assist all students, staff, faculty, employers and office visitors
Answer incoming phone calls, address questions and concerns, transfer calls to appropriate staff member or department as needed, and document detailed messages
Conduct student appointment reminder phone calls and document confirmation
Perform additional administrative support including data entry and preparing documents for copying, scanning, and shredding
Assist with execution of Career Services events/programs and special projects
Promote Career Services events and services via information tables and for designated campus events
Serve as the personal liaison between Career Services and student organizations, classes and other student entities to promote the initiatives of Career Services
Support the overall work of Career Services in whatever way necessary
Participate in required training and monthly check-in meetings

Required

Must be currently enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits at Georgia Gwinnett College
Must be in good academic standing and maintain good academic standing for the duration of employment
Must be in good standing with the campus Office of Student Integrity and maintain good standing for the duration of employment
Work at minimum 12 hours per week; specific hours set each semester
Engage in professional behavior both in dress and actions
Complete assignments on time

Preferred

Interest in enhancing skills in one or more of the following areas: peer advising, event planning, marketing and social media
