Responsibilities

Lead and support traffic impact studies, corridor analyses, and operational evaluations
Develop signal timing, traffic control plans, signing and pavement marking layouts, and temporary traffic control concepts
Prepare technical reports, summaries, presentations, and supporting documentation for clients, municipalities, and public meetings
Conduct field reviews to gather data, observe traffic behavior, and assess conditions
Collaborate with local and state agencies to ensure design compliance and project coordination
Produce design drawings using OpenRoads Designer, MicroStation, and AutoCAD
Apply and interpret MUTCD, AASHTO, NACTO, TDOT, and other industry standards
Manage project deadlines, budgets, and communication with both internal teams and external partners

Required

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
5+ years of experience in traffic engineering
Strong communication skills
Ability to interpret and analyze traffic data and communicate recommendations effectively

Preferred

Tennessee Professional Engineer (PE) license
Familiarity with TDOT projects, processes, and expectations
PTOE certification is a plus
