Responsibilities

Follow and promote safe work practices, including lock-out/tag-out procedures
Assess and determine when machines require repairs or service, prioritizing tasks effectively
Perform preventative maintenance as scheduled and as needed
Communicate maintenance issues across shifts to ensure operational continuity
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, adhering to housekeeping standards
Participate in safety meetings and stay updated on plant and safety matters
Perform additional work-related duties and projects as assigned
Deep understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, rotating machinery, pumps, pipe fitting, welding, and fabrication
Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving
Ability to read, write, and interpret technical information
Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
Drive the highest levels of employee retention and engagement to ensure a sustainable workforce
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the organization
Instill an environment of inclusion, where all employees feel that they can contribute and impact the company in a positive manner

Required

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience
Must be able to obtain and maintain current OSHA Certified Powered Industrial Vehicle operator license
Minimum of five (5) years of maintenance experience with mechanical equipment in a heavy industrial environment
Must have exhibited excellent attendance in prior work history and be committed to maintaining such attendance
Observe safety and security procedures, report potentially unsafe conditions, and use equipment and materials properly
Accurately count and perform basic math functions, including mental calculation of simple equations and/or fractions
Must be able to sufficiently read, write, and understand English
Deep understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, rotating machinery, pumps, pipe fitting, welding, and fabrication
Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving
Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
