Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end design, architecture, and delivery of Snowflake-based data platforms on Azure and AWS for enterprise clients
Act as the technical lead for client engagements, owning solution design, delivery governance, and technical decision-making
Be hands-on in building and reviewing data pipelines, transformations, and integrations
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of data engineers (onshore/offshore)
Conduct client workshops, requirements gathering sessions, and architecture reviews
Drive best practices in performance tuning, cost optimization, scalability, and security within Snowflake
Oversee and lead data migrations from legacy platforms (Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server, Redshift, etc.) to Snowflake
Collaborate closely with Delivery Managers, Project Managers, and client stakeholders to ensure successful delivery
Ensure adherence to engineering standards, CI/CD practices, and delivery timelines
Qualification
Required
12–15+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or related fields
7–9+ years of strong hands-on experience with Snowflake in enterprise environments
Proven experience delivering solutions across both Azure and AWS
Prior experience in client-facing consulting or system integrator environments strongly preferred
Snowflake architecture, best practices, and implementation patterns
Performance tuning, query optimization, and cost management
Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, Time Travel, and data sharing
Security, RBAC, and governance
Large-scale data migrations into Snowflake
Azure Data Factory (ADF)
Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2)
Azure Synapse
Azure DevOps
Entra ID / Azure security integration
S3, Glue, Lambda
Redshift (migration experience a strong plus)
IAM, networking, and security fundamentals
Strong proficiency in SQL and Python
Orchestration tools: Airflow, ADF, Step Functions
CI/CD for data pipelines
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, or CloudFormation)
Demonstrated experience leading teams of 5–15+ engineers
Strong ability to balance hands-on development with leadership responsibilities
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
