Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness of financial reporting
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Develop and monitor accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to support a growing business
Lead the upgrade and implementation of the firm’s ERP system to ensure scalability, efficiency, and automation across accounting and finance
Drive integration of finance systems with operational tools, ensuring data integrity and workflow efficiency
Partner with IT and business leaders to evaluate, recommend, and deploy automation solutions across accounting processes
Design and implement scalable accounting processes to support rapid growth
Identify and execute automation opportunities in areas such as accounts payable, billing, reconciliations, and reporting
Establish KPIs and dashboards to provide actionable insights to leadership
Partner with CFO and private equity stakeholders to support financial due diligence and post-acquisition integration
Standardize and align accounting processes across newly acquired entities
Ensure seamless onboarding of acquisitions into the ERP and financial reporting systems
Build and mentor a high-performing accounting team as the business scales
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, IT, and advisory teams to align financial processes with business objectives
Serve as a trusted partner to the CFO and private equity sponsors, providing insights to drive decision-making
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA strongly preferred)
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2+ years in a leadership or Controller role
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls
Proven ability to design and implement process improvements and automation initiatives
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization
Preferred
Experience in a PE-backed, high-growth, or professional services environment strongly preferred
Demonstrated success leading ERP implementation or upgrade projects (NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or similar)
Exposure to M&A, including due diligence and post-acquisition integration
