Educator/Developmental Specialist (Early Intervention)

They are currently looking for an Educator for Early Intervention to partner with children and families, assess developmental milestones, and provide support to promote early childhood development.

Responsibilities
Partner with children and families to implement strategies to promote early childhood development, parental education and coaching, advocacy and support
Assess the functional capabilities of children ages 0-3 relative to their age-appropriate milestones for potential developmental delays or developmental risk factors
Serve as the service coordinator for a caseload of families with a wide range of racial backgrounds, cultures, religions, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, gender identity and abilities with understanding of how their life experiences may by impacted by social determinants
Collaborate with the family to develop goals to address the child’s development that fit into their daily routines and play
Deliver services in an approachable and comfortable way as a guest in our clients’ homes, translating your clinical knowledge into everyday language
Continuously assess the progress of your clients and collaboratively adjust the plan as needed
Provide support to families with daily challenges and connect them with resources within or outside of our program as needed to support their child’s development or immediate needs
Consult and partner with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Social Workers and Speech Language Pathologists
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, with successful completion of at least 4 approved 3-credit courses that focus on infants, toddlers, and/or families
300+ hours of practicum or work experience with young children (under the age of 5)
Valid pediatric CPR and First Aid certification
Valid Driver's License and ability to provide own transportation to appointments
Preferred
Additional experience with infants, toddlers, and/or families is preferred
