Analyze insurance policies for coverage positions and bad-faith exposures in multimillion-dollar claims
Draft declaratory judgment complaints and oppositions to motions in federal and state courts
Conduct depositions of carriers, adjusters, and experts on policy language and claim handling
Negotiate settlements and mediate inter-insurer disputes for optimal policyholder recoveries
Prepare appellate briefs and oral arguments on contract interpretation and federal insurance questions
Qualification
Required
Experience in insurance coverage and reinsurance law
Expertise in complex commercial litigation
Ability to handle multi-district disputes and appellate arguments
Strong drafting skills for briefs on policy interpretation and bad-faith claims
Experience preparing for bench trials and evidentiary hearings
Ability to analyze insurance policies for coverage positions and bad-faith exposures
Experience drafting declaratory judgment complaints and oppositions to motions
Experience conducting depositions of carriers, adjusters, and experts
