Responsibilities
Source, develop, and maintain borrower relationships across target markets, with a focus on multifamily, student housing, hospitality, office, industrial, retail, and land
Originate $50M–$100M+ in senior debt annually through direct borrower relationships and strategic networks
Structure, negotiate, and close complex debt transactions
Conduct initial underwriting and financial analysis, collaborating with analysts and underwriters to finalize loan packages
Monitor market conditions and identify lending opportunities aligned with platform strategy
Partner with senior leadership to refine lending strategy, optimize deal flow, and support portfolio growth
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, or related field
Experience in commercial real estate lending, with a strong record of originating loans
Demonstrated success working for a debt fund, mortgage banker, brokerage firm, or non-bank lender
Proven ability to build and grow borrower relationships, ideally with a book of business outside of Texas markets
Strong technical skills in underwriting, structuring, pricing, and closing debt transactions
Ability to analyze financial statements, loan structures, and market conditions with sound credit judgment
