Principal Mechanical Engineer
Entegee is a company focused on supporting Combined Cycle Power projects, and they are seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer. The role involves leading heat and mass balance development, equipment specification, technical evaluations, and client-facing scope development.
Responsibilities
Lead Heat and Mass Balance (HMB) development for Combined Cycle Power projects
Develop technical scopes, job notes, and proposal man-hour estimates
Interface with clients/owners to define project scope and proposal packages
Prepare RFQs and equipment inquiry packages
Perform technical bid evaluations and vendor recommendations
Review vendor documents for compliance with specs and industry standards
Specify fixed and rotating equipment (CTG, STG, HRSG)
Support early project development and EPC execution
Attend client, vendor, and internal engineering meetings
Provide technical guidance and limited supervision to engineers/technicians
Seal and sign engineering documents (PE only)
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
15+ years engineering experience in power, oil & energy, chemical, pharmaceutical, food & beverage, or industrial sectors
Strong Combined Cycle Power experience
Heat and Mass Balance (HMB) expertise
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) – ideally has a PE, not necessarily mandatory
EPC Power project experience
Thermoflow software experience (HMB and TIC estimates)
Knowledge of performance guarantees and emissions compliance
Experience specifying fixed and rotating equipment (CTG, STG, HRSG)
Strong client-facing communication skills
Ability to meet drug, alcohol, and vaccination compliance requirements
