Responsibilities
Manage a full caseload of workers’ compensation matters ranging from routine to highly complex
Develop and execute strategic litigation plans for each case
Prepare case budgets where needed
Conduct all aspects of discovery, including written discovery and depositions
Appear at WCAB hearings, trials, and other court or agency proceedings as required
Handle trials while maintaining strong, proactive communication with clients
Draft motions, briefs, correspondence, and other substantive legal documents
Prepare cases for settlement conferences, hearings, and trial
Regularly communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and all relevant parties to advance case strategy and protect client interests
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Active California State Bar license
Experience in workers' compensation law
Strong litigation skills
Ability to manage a full caseload of workers' compensation matters
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficient in conducting discovery, including depositions
Experience in appearing at WCAB hearings, trials, and other court or agency proceedings
Ability to draft motions, briefs, correspondence, and other substantive legal documents
Strong client management skills
