Responsibilities
Promotes awareness and use of products and services to prospective organizations including self-insured and full-insured employers throughout the New York metropolitan area
Work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires in-depth evaluation of variable factors
Regularly exercises independent judgment when selecting methods, techniques for obtaining results, and making recommendations to clients
Plans, organizes and carries-out presentations and group events for executives, benefit plan managers, brokers and general agents
Identifies areas for possible improvements and addresses problems within scope of responsibility
Establishes, builds and maintains positive, professional relationships and interaction at all decision levels
Maintains a highly credible and professional profile within the industry to promote excellent customer and broker experience
Maintaining relationship with clients through:
Identifying customer’s needs
Working with Northwell Health resources to craft a solution proposal
Continuing use of Northwell Direct products and services through knowledgeable use of comparisons and contrasts with other providers
Providing after-sales service
Coordinates sales related efforts between client human resource departments and the various Northwell Health departments
Acts as a resource to implement and organize Northwell Direct projects and opportunities
Manages communication and training needs for new group onboarding process with client
Work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments
Work is evaluated upon completion to ensure that results and objectives have been met
Communicates issues, concerns and problems in a solution oriented manner
Maintains related records
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, required
Knowledge of Marketing and Sales concepts, required
Minimum of 3-5 years progressively related sales experience including experience with products, services, operations, customer service, marketing and sales techniques
Solid Microsoft based experience with presentation applications, required
Strong verbal and written communication skills, required
Preferred
Payer, occupational health or wellness services experience preferred
Combined Sales & Account management experience preferred
Experience working with third party administrators
Experience serving as the point person across all departments and cross functions internally and externally to ensure timely issue resolution and client satisfaction including labor and union leadership
Experience maintaining all contractual and performance guarantee obligations as well as process improvements where needed
Experience servicing delivery on the customer relationship; including day to day service contact, key point of contact for service and oversee resolution of administrative issues, manage Key meetings, and follow up (reporting, quarterly meetings, introduction of changes, etc.)
Previous large Client Management/Account Management experience with labor and/or Union clients, Health plan carrier or large health care system preferred
Experience understanding employee benefit plan needs, developing account strategies, and coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions
Experience in a fast paced environment with changing priorities
