Responsibilities
Understand the landscape of sustainable finance activities in Lesotho
Develop an Inclusive Green Financing Strategy and Roadmap (IGFSR) for Lesotho benchmarked on international practices and in close consultation with all key national stakeholders
Develop a climate risk management (CRM) framework for Lesotho’s financial sector
Build the capacity of the Central Bank of Lesotho and financial institutions on climate risk management and the IGFSR
Qualification
Required
Experience in developing strategic frameworks for climate risk management and green finance
Knowledge of financial inclusion principles and practices
Ability to conduct assessments of climate risk management across financial institutions
Experience in capacity-building programs for financial institutions
Strong collaboration skills with regulators, policymakers, and market actors
Familiarity with international best practices in sustainable finance
Preferred
Experience working in the financial sector in Lesotho or similar contexts
Understanding of the landscape of sustainable finance activities in Lesotho
Experience in developing inclusive financial strategies
Knowledge of climate-sensitive livelihoods and their impact on vulnerable communities
