Girl Scouts of Central Indiana is dedicated to inclusivity and serving the community through various programs. The Assistant Director will supervise staff and coordinate activities consistent with Girl Scout standards while fostering a culture of diversity and inclusion.

Responsibilities

To supervise and evaluate the camp staff
In conjunction with the camp director, plan and schedule activities that reflect the Girl Scout program
Serve as consultants for Programs Manager, Operations Manager, and Unit Manager for program ideas within the units
Acts as an ambassador for camp visitors and parents
Along with the camp director, help handle camper emergencies
Foster a culture of diversity and inclusion in the workplace and amongst the membership
These are not the only duties to be performed. Some duties may be reassigned, and other duties may be assigned as required

Required

At least 21 years old
At least one season of experience in an administration or supervisory capacity (preferably in organized youth activities)
Ability to select, train, and supervise staff
Ability to adapt to changes
Ability to direct others in crisis situations
Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds and abilities
Must hold membership in the Girl Scout organization and subscribe to the tenets of the Girl Scout Promise and Law
Ability to stand on your feet for an extended period
Ability to lift to 40 pounds
Ability to tolerate exposure to seasonal weather conditions
