Responsibilities
Work with the whole system design for machine controls to design and align customer needs, systems performance, component design and interfaces
Drive conflicting stakeholders to alignment
Work with team members internally to understand the grade control system and machine needs
Evaluate hardware components to determine what they need and what the module capabilities are
Work with the harness team to understand requests and what's most feasible
Work with the component team to configure and propose what they will use
Work with the datalink, harness, electronic hardware and software teams to ensure all systems are working properly together
Use HIL to test but this is not the main part of their job
Do machine systems design and testing for the electronic hardware and software to ship
Qualification
Required
Four-year engineering degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience (required)
3 years of engineering experience
Experience with electronically controlled mechanical systems (required)
Electrical components / systems experience. Read a schematic and troubleshoot basic machine wiring issues. (required)
Data link communication knowledge (required)
Embedded C software experience
Experience developing embedded real-time software or systems for mobile, earthmoving, agricultural, industrial, or off-highway applications (required)
Preferred
Experience with FMEA processes and a basic knowledge of electronic system failure modes (very nice to have)
