Responsibilities

Identifies and repairs medical equipment problems
Aids inspection of patient care equipment regularly to determine proper functioning
Helps in identifying early signs of possible malfunction in order to remedy problems before equipment becomes hazardous or unusable
Works with hospital staff to exchange information regarding equipment functioning
Explains operation, obtains detailed descriptions of equipment failure, etc
Communicates with equipment manufacturers to obtain operating manuals and replacement parts and to receive technical assistance
Performs related duties as required. All responsibilities noted here are considered essential functions of the job under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Duties not mentioned here, but considered related are not essential functions

High School Diploma
