Responsibilities
Oversee the design, implementation, and operation of OptiMed’s data platform
Manage and mentor a growing team, including the MDM Lead, Data Stewards, Integration Developers, Reporting Analysts, and Data Quality resources
Partner with IT leadership, business stakeholders, and Enterprise Architect to align platform capabilities with organizational strategy
Develop a roadmap for data platform evolution, including migration to a cloud data lake and integration of advanced analytics
Ensure successful migration of 100+ eligibility feeds from custom integrations to Qlik/Talend ETL
Standardize and optimize ETL patterns, error handling, and reconciliation processes
Oversee the adoption and expansion of Master Data Management (patient, provider, payer, drug domains)
Establish and enforce data quality standards, stewardship processes, and data dictionaries
Partner with business leaders to resolve data ownership and steward accountability
Implement monitoring and validation frameworks to ensure high data integrity
Provide curated, trusted data sets to BI/reporting teams
Collaborate with Analytics Engineers and Reporting Analysts to enable dashboards and executive insights
Lead the transition of data assets into a cloud-based data lake environment
Partner with Cloud Data Engineers and the Enterprise Data Architect on scalable architecture, metadata, and lineage
Research new technologies, recommend the implementation of new technologies and best practices, and when needed, implement
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or related field
7+ years of experience in data management, data engineering, or data integration, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
Hands-on experience with ETL tools (Qlik Talend preferred) and BI platforms such as Microsoft Power BI
Knowledge of MDM concepts, data quality frameworks and governance practices as well as modern data fabric-based 'master data' architecture
Database architecture, design and data modelling
Data integration tools (Azure Data Factory, Talend Open Studio, Microsoft SSIS or similar) and data integration techniques
SQL, Python and Java
Strong time management and communication skills required
Strong people leadership, including mentoring, performance management, and development of cross-functional data teams
Program execution excellence, managing multiple concurrent initiatives and delivering complex data transformations on time
