Environmental Business Management Intern - Summer 2026

WSP USA is hosting a summer internship program for students to gain hands-on experience in environmental business management. The role involves supporting financial management, report writing, and environmental impact studies while working alongside senior staff in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

Support a variety of financial management, proposal development, and invoicing tasks with the goal to develop technical, social, and ethical skills
Support with report writing, and monitoring of socioenvironmental programs
Support in various tasks related to environmental and social impact studies
Learn basic principles of Environmental Science and Climate Resiliency practices
Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary data analysis and reporting
Assist in data analysis and management using Excel and Python
Assist in GIS analysis and data preparation
Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation
Complete training on assigned tasks
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs

Required

Actively enrolled in an accredited Environmental Science, Sustainability, or related, Undergraduate program with an anticipated graduation date of August 2026 or later
Must be 18 or older
Demonstrated interest in Environmental Science or related field and have a strong desire to advance skills related to WSP's work and projects
Competent interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to an engineering and non-engineering audience
Capable of taking direction from leadership, mentors, and managers to executive projects
Basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, spreadsheets, technology, and tools
Strong desktop research background regarding environmental data and literature
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
Authorization to work in the United States at the start of the internship

Preferred

Experience using MS Office Suite programs
Prior internship and leadership involvement on campus
