Customer Service Specialist Intermediate
The Minnesota Department of Administration is dedicated to providing leadership and support to various government entities. The Customer Service Specialist Intermediate role involves managing parking contracts and serving as a liaison to Metro Transit while ensuring customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Government Administration
Responsibilities
Managing all aspects of parking contracts for external customers, including initiating, renewing, modifying, and canceling agreements
Handling cash receipts
Serving as the primary liaison to Metro Transit
Administering Metropass services for eligible customers
Coordinating ongoing maintenance and repairs for parking pay stations
Supporting the safety and security of assigned parking lots, ramps, and garages
Preparing daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual parking reports
Managing assigned tasks with a high level of independence
Promoting alternative transportation options
Providing backup support to scheduler/dispatch staff for tenant services
Performing a variety of administrative and operational support duties, including assistance to the Supervisor and Business Operations Manager
Qualification
Required
Customer service skill sufficient to interact with customers – in person, over the telephone, or via email – in a courteous, tactful, and diplomatic manner
Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record
Word processing skills to develop and modify a variety of correspondence, records and reports
Typing/keyboarding skill to accurately compose correspondence
Data entry skills sufficient create records and update entries in a timely manner
Mathematics skills sufficient to process account reconciliations
Preferred
Knowledge of MS Office Suite
Desktop publishing skills
SEMA4 experience
Knowledge of current office practices and procedures
Ability to speak a second language/bilingual
