Synergy Interactive is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with deep Azure experience to help design, build, validate, and operate cloud environments across staging and production. This role is hands-on and delivery-focused, working across infrastructure, security, CI/CD, observability, and performance in a fast-moving, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

Build and validate Azure environments across stage and production

Implement Azure networking: VNets, Subnets, DNS, NAT Gateway, Firewall, Private Endpoints

Develop and maintain Terraform (AzureRM) modules and remote state

Configure Azure Monitor and Application Insights; integrate with Splunk/Dynatrace

Design and run CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Azure Container Registry (ACR)

Deploy and validate Azure Functions, API Management, and Application Gateway/WAF

Support CDC and Kafka-based integrations using Azure Event Hubs

Implement security hardening, RBAC, PIM, managed identities, and Key Vault

Assist with performance and load testing using Azure Load Testing or JMeter

Validate environment readiness, run smoke tests, and support cutover and rollback strategies

Monitor post-production systems and ensure operational stability

Required

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

5–10 years of cloud engineering experience, including 3+ years on Azure

Strong hands-on Azure experience with: VNet, DNS, NAT Gateway, Azure Firewall, AKS, App Service, API Management, Application Gateway, Blob Storage, Azure SQL

Infrastructure as Code: Terraform (AzureRM), modular design, Azure Storage remote state

CI/CD: GitHub Actions, container builds, ACR, AKS/App Service deployments

Observability: Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics; Splunk/Dynatrace integration

Data and streaming: Kafka (Event Hubs Kafka protocol), CDC (ADF, SQL CDC, Debezium)

Security best practices: RBAC, PIM, Azure Policy, managed identities

Experience with blue-green or canary deployments (AKS) or deployment slots (App Service)

Preferred

Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) or Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)

HashiCorp Terraform Associate (nice to have)
