0+ years expThe Lindy Group is seeking a Cost Accountant to help support continued company growth and success. In this role, you will play a critical part in tracking project costs, preparing budgets, and ensuring financial accuracy throughout the lifecycle of our projects.

Responsibilities
Cost Tracking & Analysis: Monitor and analyze project costs including labor, equipment, materials, trucking, subcontractors, and overhead expenses
Budgeting: Collaborate with project managers to develop accurate and realistic budgets that align with project goals; track actual performance against budgets
Reporting: Prepare and maintain weekly and quarterly job cost reports for field personnel and management
Variance Analysis: Investigate differences between estimated and actual costs, identify variances, and recommend strategies for cost control
Compliance: Ensure all accounting practices comply with industry regulations, tax laws, and GAAP standards
Invoice & Payment Processing: Review and process invoices and subcontractor payment requests for accuracy and compliance with company policies
Collaboration: Partner with project managers, procurement, and other departments to gather financial data, provide insights, and support informed decision-making
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required
0-5 years of relevant experience
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Must be a team player with a positive, collaborative attitude
Preferred
Construction accounting experience preferred but not required
Experience using CMiC's ERP accounting system is a plus
