Responsibilities

Prepare and review federal and state individual and business tax returns, including exposure to multiple entity types
Review work prepared by junior associates and provide clear, constructive feedback
Assist with IRS and state notices, audits, and client inquiries
Research and analyze tax issues, including the impact of new and proposed legislation
Participate in compilation and review engagements
Build a strong understanding of client businesses and industries
Contribute to process improvements, automation, and Ai assisted initiatives
Work closely with managers and partners to develop technical and professional judgment
Stay current on tax law, accounting standards, and best practices

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
3–5+ years of public accounting tax experience
Hands-on experience with both individual and business tax returns
Strong foundation in U.S. tax compliance and GAAP
Experience reviewing returns or informally mentoring junior staff
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines
Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Preferred

CPA license or active pursuit of CPA
Enrolled Agent or Active Pursuit
Interest in automation, AI, and accounting technology
Self-starter mentality you don't wait to be told what needs improvement
Desire to grow into a leadership role over time
