The Proficient Licensed Practical Nurse, under the direction of the Nurse Manager or designee and the co-assigned Registered Nurse, is accountable for provision of direct care to assigned patients
The Proficient Licensed Practical Nurse contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system
The Proficient Licensed Practical Nurse works as a team member and assists other staff members with implementing patient care
Responsibilities include direct patient care, administration of medication/vaccines, minor laboratory testing, communication with patients and providers using EMR
Qualification
Required
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification
Ability to provide direct care to assigned patients
Team-oriented and collaborative mindset
Experience with administration of medication/vaccines
Experience with minor laboratory testing
Ability to communicate with patients and providers using EMR
Preferred
At least 6 months in direct nursing care
