Responsibilities
Manage full caseload of premises liability, Labor Law, auto and municipal defense files from inception through trial or settlement
Draft pleadings, discovery responses, and dispositive motions in Westchester Supreme and SDNY/EDNY
Take and defend depositions of plaintiffs, treating physicians, engineers and municipal employees throughout the Hudson Valley
Argue substantive and discovery motions in court alongside partners who have tried hundreds of cases
Second-chair jury trials in White Plains, Bronx, and surrounding counties within your first 12–18 months
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Active New York State Bar admission
Experience in insurance defense litigation
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage a full caseload of premises liability, Labor Law, auto and municipal defense files
Experience drafting pleadings, discovery responses, and dispositive motions
Experience taking and defending depositions
Ability to argue substantive and discovery motions in court
Willingness to second-chair jury trials within the first 12–18 months
