Akkodis is seeking a Data Scientist - Quantitative Research with a client in Redmond WA-Remote for a 6 months contract. The Data Scientist -Quantitative Research is responsible for designing, analyzing, and interpreting large-scale quantitative studies to inform product, design, and business decisions, focusing on survey research, statistical analysis, and experimental methods.

Responsibilities

Design, execute, and analyze largescale surveys, experiments, and observational studies

Apply inferential statistical methods (e.g., regression, hypothesis testing, multivariate analysis) to answer research questions

Develop sampling strategies, weighting schemes, and data quality checks to ensure statistical rigor

Analyze complex datasets and clearly communicate findings to cross functional stakeholders

Translate quantitative insights into practical recommendations for product, design, and strategy

Collaborate with researchers, designers, and product teams to shape research questions and measurement approaches

Document methodologies, assumptions, and limitations to support reproducibility and interpretation

Support ongoing research programs with standardized metrics, dashboards, and analytical frameworks where appropriate

Required

Master's degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, psychology, economics, data science, sociology, or a related discipline

5-7 years of experience in quantitative analysis or research, preferably in a product, UX, or applied research context

Strong foundation in statistical inference and experimental or quasi-experimental methods

Experience working with survey data, including questionnaire design, sampling, and weighting

Proficiency in at least one statistical or analytical programming language (e.g., R, Python)

Ability to explain complex analyses clearly to nontechnical audiences

Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem solving skills

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in cross functional teams

Preferred

Experience in UX, product, or behavioral research

Familiarity with A/B testing or causal inference approaches

Experience translating quantitative findings into design or product decisions
