Responsibilities

Oversees personnel that are loading and unloading trucks, verifying counts, inspecting for damaged packaging
Ensure safe operation of equipment by team members
Train team members’ on various processes, procedures and job tasks within their work zone
Certify team members’ on individual workstations to satisfy each level of progression on the skills matrix
Track and communicate status for inbound/outbound truck schedules
Constant communication with supervisor and fork lift drivers
Verify EDI requirements and setup/manage loads
Lead and assist shipping personnel as needed
Spot check the labeling of staged containers throughout the day
Enforce FIFO procedures that are set in place
Understand and follow plant rules including proper dress, hair and cell phone usage

Required

Must be 18 years of age or older
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English at a level sufficient to safely and effectively perform job duties, including following work instructions, safety procedures, and company communications
Able to stand for 8-10 hours a day and be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to maintain quality and safety standards
Ability to read and write and understand work instructions
Ability to understand and follow safety procedures
Ability to receive, track, and distribute materials, supplies, and equipment
Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork
Ability to read, sort, check, count, and verify numbers
Ability to perform simple arithmetic
Ability to detect problems and report information to appropriate personnel
Ability to receive, stock, and/or deliver goods
Ability to operate PC and scan gun
Has high standards of performance for self
