JBS USA is a leading food processing company, and they are seeking a Quality Technician to ensure the maintenance of quality standards for processes, materials, and products. The role involves conducting quality assurance testing, troubleshooting quality issues, and advising production supervisors on corrective measures.

Responsibilities

Conducts quality assurance testing on products and raw materials on the plant floor

Utilizes and/or adapts inspection equipment to meet quality control standards, make suggestions about procedures, standards and equipment to facilitate work and maintain product quality

Investigate and determine cause of faulty work and consult and advise production supervisors as to corrective measures

Ensures that sell-by and production dates are correct on product runs

Analyze facts or circumstances surrounding individual problems to determine what action should be taken within the limits of standard practices

Measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability

May assume other duties as assigned

Required

High School Diploma or equivalent certification

Ability to speak, read, and write English

Good verbal and written communication skills

Good math skills

Must be well-organized with good attention to detail

Must maintain a helpful and professional attitude and appearance

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved, instructions and to deal with problems involving a few different variables

Preferred

Experience in food manufacturing quality control preferred

Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
