Responsibilities

Provides benefits and leave administration including system management, employee support, claims management, enrollment ownership, compliance reporting, etc
Full understanding of leave of absence functions including federal, state, and employee-provided leave benefits, ensuring employees’ leave cases are administered and documented correctly
Creates and maintains a strong communication cadence for all leave cases, ensuring management, employees, and payroll teams are updated and engaged with leave and return-to-work dates
Partners with all benefit vendors to ensure enrollment accuracy between the HRIS system and benefit portals; performs regular audits to ensure data integrity
Creates and provides company-wide benefit education sessions including open enrollment, new hires, and refresher sessions as requested
Strong general understanding of self-funded medical coverages to provide real-time employee support on any coverage/claims concerns and provider issues that may arise
Builds workflows and processes within the HRIS system to drive automation and efficiency
Provides timely support on complex leave and/or benefits questions/issues
Administers integration actions of acquired companies to ensure smooth integration of leave and benefits processes for employees

Required

3+ years of benefits and/or leave administration experience required
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Alignment with company mission, vision, and values

Ability to perform in a fast-paced/high-volume environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
High level of time management, accountability, and prioritization skills

Strong critical thinker with high attention to detail
Highly customer-centric and master relationship builder
High level of professionalism and confidentiality
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Preferred

Proven experience supporting over 1,500 employees within a multi-state, trades environment strongly preferred
Advanced knowledge of HRIS software; ADP experience preferred
