Responsibilities
Become involved in the operations of the accounting department including transaction processing, journal entry preparation and account reconciliation
Monitor the AP approval workflow process to ensure accuracy
Process weekly payment runs (EFT, Checks & Wires)
Monitor a shared AP mailbox, reconcile vendor statements, & resolve any AP related discrepancies
Assist in timely month end closing procedures to include monthly accruals and balance sheet reconciliations
Ensure open lines of communications with vendors with a focus on building strong vendor relationships
Complete accounting assignments in an environment of intellectual curiosity, problem solving, accuracy and efficiency. Promote the Pursuit culture by maintaining a high degree of employee engagement
Develop relationships and with key internal and external partners across Pursuit
Qualification
Required
Experience in Microsoft Excel, Office, and Word required
Strong “can-do,” attitude with demonstrated resourcefulness and flexibility
Ability to make decisions, solve problems and exercise good judgment
Strong commitment to positive working relationships with stakeholders
Flexibility and willingness to work with a geographically dispersed team
Resourceful, adaptable, resilient
Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Service-focused mindset including the need to work successfully with both internal and external partners
Strong sense of prioritization and urgency in achieving established accounting tasks
Adaptable and flexible with a strong sense of curiosity to develop new or better processes
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred, or related Accounts Payable experience; accounting experience a plus
Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus
