NEOGOV is looking to fill a full-time Staffing Coordinator position at the Iowa Veterans Home. This role involves scheduling and coordinating staffing for nursing employees, ensuring adequate coverage in advance, and supporting various shifts in the nursing department.

Responsibilities

Scheduling, coordinating and facilitating staffing guidelines for nursing employees

Creating and maintaining nursing employee schedules for the Malloy building

Ensuring staffing numbers are reached in advance

Supporting evening shift staffing

Completing night shift staffing 2 days a week, every other weekend and rotating holidays

Working with the department to ensure a Scheduler is in-house 7 days a week

Required

The equivalent of two years of full-time clerical work experience involving the use of medical terminology

Employees with current continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes the equivalent of one year of full-time work experience as a Resident Treatment Worker, Pharmacy Assistant or a position providing nursing care or clerical work in a state institution providing medical services shall be considered qualified
