Strategic Sourcing Lead
FPC of Brighton is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Lead to oversee and guide sourcing initiatives within their Center of Excellence. This role involves developing procurement sourcing strategies, optimizing sourcing processes, and fostering supplier relationships to achieve significant cost savings.
Responsibilities
Lead the creation and implementation of procurement sourcing strategies in alignment with the company's overall goals and objectives. Drive adoption of best practices and innovative approaches within the CoE
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify sourcing opportunities, evaluate suppliers, and negotiate contracts. Streamline sourcing processes and implement standardized procedures across the CoE
Foster strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and mutual growth. Conduct supplier performance evaluations and address any issues or concerns
Lead efforts to drive cost savings and cost avoidance initiatives. Analyze spend data, identify inefficiencies, and develop strategies to optimize procurement spend while maintaining quality standards
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure sourcing effectiveness. Regularly analyze data to evaluate supplier performance, track savings, and identify areas for improvement
Lead negotiations to secure favorable terms, pricing, and contractual agreements with suppliers that align with business requirements. Collaborate with Legal staff to draft, review, and finalize contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies that could impact sourcing strategies. Leverage market insights to make informed decisions
Drive change management initiatives related to sourcing processes, systems, and tools. Champion the adoption of new technologies and methodologies to enhance procurement capabilities
Lead training and development initiatives within the CoE, enhancing the skills and capabilities of procurement professionals. Mentor team members and foster a culture of continuous learning
Proactively engage and listen to stakeholders across Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and other functions. Use strong interpersonal and influencing skills to align sourcing strategies with business needs and objectives, building consensus and driving results across the organization
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field
7+ years of progressive experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, with a proven track record of success
Significant experience in strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and contract negotiations
Exceptional analytical skills, including advanced proficiency in Excel and sourcing tools for bid analyses, scenario modeling, and spend analysis. Ability to interpret complex data and drive data-driven decisions
Outstanding interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to listen, communicate effectively, and influence stakeholders at all levels across the organization. Experience facilitating consensus and managing through influence
Proficiency in procurement software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of industry best practices, market trends, and regulations in procurement and sourcing
Leadership qualities with the ability to mentor and guide a diverse team
Strategic thinker with the ability to innovate and drive process improvements
Adaptability to change and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred
Master's degree preferred
Relevant certifications (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) are a plus
