Responsibilities
Lead and review complex power system studies independently
Serve as a technical authority on power system behavior
Engineer Electrical Design packages including Medium and Low voltage systems
Attend FAT and guide the construction team during the construction phase by providing timely responses to RFIs
Develop and maintain large, complex system models
Perform cross-platform study validation and benchmarking
Review and audit third-party study models and assumptions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
Professional Engineer (PE) license required or ability to obtain within a defined timeframe
Minimum 10–15 years of progressive experience in power system engineering, with a strong focus on power system studies and Power system Design
Demonstrated experience supporting industrial, utility, generation, renewable, and data center power systems
Proven ability to lead and review complex studies independently and serve as a technical authority on power system behavior
Expert-level knowledge and hands-on execution of load flow / power flow analysis
Expert-level knowledge and hands-on execution of short-circuit and equipment duty evaluations (ANSI & IEC)
Expert-level knowledge and hands-on execution of arc flash hazard analysis (IEEE 1584, NFPA 70E)
Expert-level knowledge and hands-on execution of motor starting and voltage drop studies
Expert-level knowledge and hands-on execution of protection coordination and relay settings
Expert-level knowledge and hands-on execution of transient stability and dynamic studies (where applicable)
Expert-level knowledge and hands-on execution of harmonic analysis and power quality assessment
Engineer Electrical Design package including for Medium and Low voltage system

Advanced proficiency in industry-standard power system analysis tools, including ETAP, EasyPower, SKM PowerTools, MS-Office, Bluebeam
Ability to develop and maintain large, complex system models
Ability to perform cross-platform study validation and benchmarking
Ability to review and audit third-party study models and assumptions
Proficient in using NEC, IEEE, NESC, MS-Office, Bluebeam
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate system risk and operational impacts
Experience leading power system study scopes, schedules, and deliverables
Capable of mentoring junior engineers and reviewing technical work for quality and compliance
Ability to interface effectively with clients, utilities, EPCs, and regulatory bodies
Provides technical leadership for proposal development, including defining study scope, assumptions, schedules, and preparing engineering labor estimates and technical narratives
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to produce clear, defensible study reports suitable for utility submittals, AHJ approval, and client
Experience presenting technical findings to non-technical stakeholders
Preferred
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
ETAP (preferred primary platform)
Familiarity with protection relay software (SEL, GE, etc.) is strongly preferred
