Systems/Cloud Engineer
Data Systems Analysts, Inc. (DSA) is seeking a TS/SCI cleared Systems Engineer to support the design, implementation, and sustainment of enterprise IT systems in a secure environment. The Systems Engineer will work across various platforms to ensure systems remain secure, reliable, and optimized for mission needs, collaborating with senior technical staff to maintain infrastructure services and modernize system configurations.

Responsibilities
Administer and maintain Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) and Windows Server systems across on-premise, hybrid, or cloud environments
Manage and optimize virtualization and compute platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, or similar)
Implement and monitor security baselines, patch management, and configuration compliance in accordance with organizational policies
Perform Active Directory / identity management, including user/group administration, Group Policy, and access auditing
Design, document, and deploy new system capabilities in coordination with engineering and cybersecurity teams
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, network, and system-level issues methodically and with minimal downtime
Automate routine administrative and deployment tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or Python
Maintain accurate technical documentation for configurations, system builds, and operational procedures
Provide responsive support to users and stakeholders across mission, development, and enterprise systems
Qualification
Required
BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
TS/SCI Clearance
DoD 8140 (8570) IAT Level II Certification
Minimum 4 years of experience in systems engineering, administration, or infrastructure operations
Proficiency in both Linux and Windows Server administration
Experience managing virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, or comparable)
Hands on Active Directory administration experience
Proven ability in system patching, hardening, and configuration baseline enforcement
Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, firewalls)
Proficiency with administrative scripting (PowerShell, Bash, or Python)
Strong analytical and documentation skills for troubleshooting and process improvement
Preferred
Exposure to configuration management and automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Terraform)
Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, OpenVAS, etc.)
Experience with Git/GitLab or other source control systems for configuration and scripting
Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes and containerized lab services
Prior experience supporting R&D, reverse engineering, or specialized laboratory environments
