They are seeking a well-rounded Senior Accounting Analyst to manage the general ledger, conduct financial reporting, and assist with budget preparation while maintaining strong relationships with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

Coordinate accurate and timely completion of monthly closing procedures

Preliminary financial statement and management report review to identify any needed adjustments

Preparation of monthly Board reporting package

Primary contact for all monthly reporting questions and research requests

Monthly balance sheet account reconciliations – performance and review - to include process analysis and determination of any necessary adjusting journal entries

Journal entries, allocation entries and analysis as assigned

Cash account reconciliations – develop process efficiencies including automating this function

Grant budget and invoice review, grant contract financial compliance

Annual budget preparation assistance

Identify opportunities for expense reduction, execute detailed analysis, clearly communicate findings

Prepare year-end reconciliations, annual audit schedules, and compile audit support documentation

Assist with the preparation of the Form 990 (Return for Organization Exempt from Income Tax)

Provide general accounting assistance as needed and participate in special projects

Cultivate and maintain strong, positive, collaborative and effective working relationships with all internal and external customers
