Responsibilities
Supporting the financial close process for the Industrial segment operating cost stack
Working with the Director of FP&A to understand monthly results for the Industrial segment as a whole and seek explanations from business area leaders
Improve reporting by automating common monthly reports and enabling quick turnaround
Identify drivers of business performance, including but not limited to, pricing analysis, material cost variances, manufacturing operating expenses, headcount impact analysis, overhead rate variance analysis, etc
Providing specific financial analysis support for:
Creating a Detectors -specific operating budget
Operating expense budgets for production, engineering, etc
Variance analysis including pricing, volume, mix and costs
Support the monthly financial close process
Partner with the business on a daily basis to support management’s operating goals
Support the annual budget process for the Industrial segment
Develop Excel and IT-based financial reporting tools
Support ad hoc financial analysis requests from the Director of FP&A
Develop a strong expertise of Varex X-ray product cost standards and cost accounting
Qualification
Required
5+ years of previous financial analysis experience, primarily from a manufacturing business and operational analysis exposure
Candidate must have a B.S. in Business or an MBA
Experience with SAP and BPC
Extensive experience with Excel
