Responsibilities
Perform FIX API certifications with third-party vendors, buy-side clients, and partners in Production environment
Work with OMS Vendors to define workflows and specifications for FIX integrations
Support QA/UAT environments including, backend processes, FIX connections and vendor/partner OMS/EMS components
Build, maintain, and test certification environments
Train members on new product features
Work with team to test new functionality and creative solutions to existing issues
Escalate problems as needed to local or global Production Support teams and Development
Collaborate with technology teams on improvements to problematic workflows
Work with OMS Vendors to define specifications for FIX or other proprietary integrations
Manage client application upgrades and new functionality deployments
Build, maintain, and test demo environments
Manage new feature validation across the region – sales team / customer focused
Provide support for SQL and FIX Technologies for in-house applications and client OMS integrations
Qualification
Required
7+ years of experience as a FIX Engineer, in a high-volume, buy or sell side trading environment, or vendor
Experience with Equities and/or Fixed Income markets and its trading technologies for both dealers and institutional clients
In-depth, hands-on experience working with FIX Protocol certification/connectivity
Ability to document and provide training on FIX specifications from start to finish that can be used by clients, partners, and vendors
Excellent communication skills both verbal and technical writing
Experience with SQL on any DBMS, such as MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, and Sybase database environments
Knowledge of order management and trading systems
Administration and operation in Linux and Windows
Functional knowledge of networking, TLS encryption, proxies, firewalls and stunnel
Preferred
Basic scripting in Perl and/or Python preferred
