Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED
Two (2) years of full-time equivalent experience in concrete construction, maintenance, and repair work, to include reading and interpreting engineering plans for curb and gutter, sidewalks, and roadways, and planning curb and gutter layout from information from survey grade stakes and cut sheets or closely related experience
This position is safety sensitive and is subject to testing for alcohol and controlled substances in accordance with the City's current substance abuse policy
Must possess a valid driver's license and must have and maintain a satisfactory driver's record based on the City of Hampton's criteria
Must possess a State of Virginia Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B or must obtain the CDL Class B within 180 days of employment
Must successfully pass a background check related to this position prior to any offer of employment or promotion
