Litigation Attorney - Mid

They are seeking a Litigation Attorney-Mid to support the USAID Office of the General Counsel in providing legal advice and assistance in administrative and litigation matters, including drafting pleadings and coordinating with attorneys.

Responsibilities

Provides support and assistance to attorneys representing USAID in federal and administrative litigation arising under the Contract Disputes Act, the Administrative Procedure Act, the False Claims Act, the Freedom of Information Act, and the Federal Tort Claims Act, among others
Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs
Review case materials, investigate facts, and gather relevant documents
Provide legal counsel on litigation preparation, risk assessment, and potential courses of action
Coordinate with paralegals and other attorneys to prepare case documents and research
Verify legal citations and references, ensuring accuracy and compliance with procedural requirements
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including interagency partners
Perform other legal duties as assigned to support litigation and Agency objectives

Required

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and admitted to a state bar in good standing
