Traffic Management Specialist

Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is seeking a Traffic Management Specialist to support the mission of the United States Air Force. Responsibilities

Provide timely Personal Property Management, contract quality assurance, Personal Property Inspector, Passenger Movement services and support to Patrick and Cape Canaveral Air Force installation’s groups, squadrons, tenant units, contractors and other authorized entities
Provide support to installation customers and the Eastern Range
Provide training, resources, and systems required for efficient and effective accountability and management of Air Force assets
Independently plans, organizes, monitors, and analyzes the activities of the Personal Property Office ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements to meet transportation requirement
Passenger movement program administration and serves as Quality Assurance Evaluator (QAE) providing quality control monitoring services to ensure that the Commercial Ticket Office contractor is in compliance with contract terms
Develops itineraries, selects modes, and routes to domestic and international destinations for official government travel

Required

U.S. Citizenship
The work may require the employee to drive a motor vehicle. An appropriate, valid driver's license may be required for the position
This position has been designated for drug testing. Incumbent is subject to random urinalysis testing as a condition of employment
Knowledge of the full range of transportation policies, practices, and techniques to include knowledge of personal property movement, personal property entitlements, carrier industry practices, international, state and local laws, and operations for shipping and storage within the transportation function
Knowledge of analysis, evaluation, fact-finding, and investigative techniques in order to gather data, identify significant factors, and recommend a solution from a number of possible alternatives
Knowledge of the occupation to perform studies and prepare reports, documentation, and correspondence to communicate factual and procedural information clearly
Skill in applying the principles, concepts, and practices of the occupation sufficient to perform moderately difficult assignments
Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy, both orally and in writing, as well as work in a professional manner with peers and management
Ability to learn and apply analytical investigative techniques to accomplish work in the subject-matter field
