Manulife is a leading international financial services provider that is seeking a self-motivated Calculation Analyst to join their National Life, Disability & Wellness Team. The role involves calculating offsets and adjusted benefits, informing plan members about overpayments, and collaborating with case management teams to enhance financial results.

Responsibilities

Calculate and code offsets and the adjusted LTD benefit in Navigator

Inform Plan Member of the overpayment amount with clear explanations both verbally and in writing

Follow-up with Plan Member for reimbursement of overpayment and negotiate an acceptable repayment plan when necessary

Proceed with claim recoveries in Navigator

Collaborate with the Case Management teams to strengthen financial results

Work closely with other colleagues to prioritize work especially during peak times (end of year)

Required

Strong customer service focus; ability to be empathetic while delivering sometimes difficult messages

Strong math skills

Very comfortable with Office 365; most notably Excel and Word

Able to read and interpret group insurance contracts and apply their provisions

Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written

Strong negotiation skills

Preferred

Experience with Navigator is an asset

Experience in disability benefit calculations is helpful

Open to change and continuous improvement
