Finance Analyst Associate

Responsibilities

Partner with internal and external customers to lead and grow the business; synthesize data into useful information to provide fact-based business decision support. Prepare monthly reports and maintain accurate records in accordance with business partnerships
Communicate and drive opportunities to deliver the best value for customers; support and partner with management in planning, measuring, and reporting on performance of business functions and opportunities to improve profitability through cost efficiency
Accurately and efficiently control and report company operations to customers; assist in the monthly-end close process by preparing journal entries and account reconciliation in accordance with Corporate Accounting Policies and Practices manual
Develop customer-friendly systems, processes, and metrics; perform assigned operations finance tasks in accordance with standard work instructions. Monitor and track key operational benchmarks; perform root cause analysis and develop action plans as needed
Develop understanding of Continuous Improvement Management System (CIIMS) and support continues improvement projects
Partner with Operations and Materials teams to maintain cycle count data and reconciliation
Process, organize and monitor the CIP and fixed asset transactions
Continuously grow knowledge and understanding of Oshkosh People First competencies to engage, develop, and connect team members

Required

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field
Ability to travel to outside suppliers to assist in offsite inventory counts
Knowledge of basic Finance and Accounting concepts
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint
Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred

Familiarity with U.S. and international accounting regulations
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multi-tasking and manage priorities daily
