They are seeking a Regional Purchasing Agent who will be responsible for purchasing inventory, overseeing inventory turnover, and negotiating with vendors to maintain sufficient inventory levels.

Purchasing inventory

Overseeing annual turnover of inventory

Maintaining sufficient inventory levels to support sales requirements

Negotiating prices and terms with vendors

Communicating prices and market conditions to Manager and sales personnel

Selecting which vendors to utilize

Other duties as assigned

Qualification

Branch experienceMicrosoft OfficeCustomer serviceOrganizational skillsCommunication skills

Required

High school education or equivalent is required

Must have two years of branch experience in industry or equivalent knowledge of the industry

Must have 10-key and computer experience with Microsoft Office

Good organizational and interpersonal skills required

Attention to detail and mental concentration are necessary for accurately performing tasks and handling frequent interruptions

Ability to maintain the scheduled days and hours, including onsite presence at the assigned location as specified

Lift up to 25 pounds on occasion, sitting and standing for extended periods

Job requires operation of equipment common to office settings, including computers, copiers, and other office equipment, including Near Vision, Manual Dexterity, and working in proximity to equipment
