Concession Stand Attendant – Dawson Softball Complex– Seasonal
NEOGOV is seeking a Concession Stand Attendant for the Dawson Softball Complex. The role involves operating the concession stand, handling food and beverage sales, ensuring cleanliness, and providing customer service while adhering to health regulations.

Responsibilities
Ensures concession stand is properly ready for planned schedule
Oversees cleanliness and sanitation of concession stand equipment and concession area
Greets the public and provides good customer service, addresses customer inquiries and concerns
Adheres to proper food and beverage handling and temperature control procedures
Sells food and beverages while following proper cash handling, safe cash storage procedures and maintaining an accurate cash drawer
Maintains proper use, daily set-up, shut-down, and clean-up of concession equipment
Completes a nightly bank deposit and completion of nightly shift report documents
Properly checks ID’s and rules for legal serving of fermented malt beverages
Reports any issues to Recreation Supervisor
Follows all safety regulations, policies, and procedures; reports all unsafe conditions and acts to supervisor; reports all accidents to the supervisor immediately whenever possible; follows recognized safe work practices
Performs other special projects and other job duties as assigned or required during regular and non-business hours
Monitors product stock, tracks inventory, and notifies supervisor when supplies are low
Restocks product throughout shift as necessary
Disposes of trash and recycling in proper containers
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Must be 18 years of age or older
Experience working with a cash register or serving/selling food preferred
Completion of Wisconsin Seller/Server online course or willing to complete
Bartender's certification or willing to obtain with assistance
General knowledge of point-of sale (POS) systems and cash register operations
Strong customer service skills with accurate cash-handling ability
Organizational and time management skills to prioritize duties and accomplish a high volume of work product while adapting to constant changes in priority
Exceptional communication skills, both verbally and in writing, paired with a strong customer service background, and effective interpersonal skills
Collaboration skills to effectively work with others to achieve common goals through communication, teamwork, and problem-solving
Accurate record-keeping and data-reporting skills to prepare daily attendance and point of sale reports
Ability to follow city/department/division policies, work independently and make sound decisions
Ability to communicate effectively and to follow verbal and written instructions
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers and decimals, and to count back change to customers
Ability to work a variety of flexible shifts to include evenings, weekends, and holidays
Ability to work with minimal supervision and within the boundaries of responsibility
Ability to compose routine correspondence and routine reports in a clear, concise, logical, and effective manner, utilizing proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, sentence structure, and tone
Ability to comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures, and report all unsafe activities or conditions to supervisor
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with City employees, program participants and the general public
Exhibit exceptional professionalism, tact, and decorum in all areas of work duties
Demonstrates strong-self motivation and reliability
