Research Technician I
Northern Bio is a company focused on research operations, and they are seeking a Research Technician I to support their operations team. The role involves engaging in basic research functions, animal handling, data collection, and ensuring compliance with Good Laboratory Practices.

Responsibilities
Assist with restraint, handling, and manipulation of animal species
Perform animal observations to monitor and assess animal health and monitor the study
Collect and record data on paper and/or in an electronic laboratory information management system (LIMS) in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
Introduction to data review for GLP compliance
Sample collection including, but not limited to, non-sterile scrub of collection sites, blood draws, and urine collections
Drug administration including, but not limited to, eye drops, tablets, subcutaneous injections, intramuscular injections, and drug calculations
Basic anesthesia monitoring including intubation/extubation and use of animal warming systems
May serve as a secondary Point Technician on a study
May assist with animal husbandry, including but not limited to cleaning, feeding, watering and enrichment as needed
Perform other training or duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma/GED required
Minimum 1 year experience required
Proficient with Microsoft Office core applications and the ability to learn and use additional applications
Ability to don and wear personal protective gear, including N95 respirators
Physical activity includes lifting (up to 50lbs), carrying (up to 40lbs for up to 50 feet), pushing/pulling (up to 75lbs force), reaching, gripping/pinching, standing, and ascending a ladder without restriction
Ability to work beyond typical work schedule including, but not limited to, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts with short notice
