Responsibilities

Adhere to all applicable codes, standards, and regulations from ASME 31.3, 31.8, API 12F, etc
Develop technical design packages to document sound engineering logic and standards being applied to a project
Develop and maintain standard mechanical engineering drawings and specifications
Support brownfield assets through failure meetings
Inform leadership team of issues that pose a risk to meeting critical production dates
Facilitate communication among key project stakeholders
Attend meetings with regulatory and outside regulatory partners to ensure Diamondback maintains regulated/unregulated pipeline compliance
Participate in quarterly reviews of projects with significant budget-to-estimate variances
Participate in recurring meetings with Completions to support pipeline NG fuel requirements for E-frac
Participate in recurring meetings with Facilities Engineering and Planning/Scheduling teams to ensure the construction schedule is supported
Monitor project specific field estimates, actuals, AFE budgets, and cash out
Develop AFEs for leadership approval
Prepare bid documents for capital projects within assigned scope
Support the development and maintenance of financial KPIs to inform the team of past and future performance
Support training initiatives by ensuring Diamondback is up to date on the latest technologies and strategies

Required

Minimum of 2-6 years of Engineering experience
Degree in Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical, or Civil Engineering
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Maintain a valid driver's license to include a safe driving record satisfactory to the company

Preferred

Adaptable, trustworthy, and proactive—able to solve complex problems, maintain high-quality work, and collaborate effectively across teams
Strong communication, relationship-building, and a constructive mindset are essential, along with the ability to work independently and continuously learn
Understanding of the fundamental categories of the EPA Subpart W report, to support the companies Scope 1 emission reduction goals
Working knowledge of the EPA OOOO rules
Understanding of the RRC and DOT pipeline rules relevant to oil and gas operations
Proficient in sizing and selecting tank battery equipment, including tanks, vessels, piping systems, control valves, flares, compressors, and venting components
